Being used by Christ is something we all desire as Christians; do we always get it right? No. Let’s journey with Charles on his quest to be used Just One More Time and may it stir up the gifts of Christ in us to do and be more for Him and His glory. About the Movie
Just One More follows Jess, a recovering addict struggling with shame, doubt, and the weight of her past, whose life unexpectedly collides with Charles, a dying man praying that God would use him “just one more” time. As their stories intertwine, Jess begins to discover forgiveness, healing, and the hope to fight for a future beyond addiction.
This is an emotional, character-driven story about redemption, perseverance, and the life-changing impact one person can have on another.
At its heart, Just One More is about choosing hope one more time, even when life feels impossible.
This is the kind of movie that stays with audiences long after the credits roll.

My Thoughts
Just One More had a murky beginning for me. I couldn’t tell Jess’s age at first, and that drives me nuts because I need to know if what I’m watching is age-appropriate or not.
That said, after a few minutes I forgot I was annoyed and got sucked right into the story.
Also, can we talk about the fact that when Jess was jogging she actually had a runner’s stride? Thank you. It is so distracting when someone is supposed to be a runner and they look like they’ve never run a day in their life.
Charles is sleeping on his lawn with a sign that says, “Stop. Let’s pray about it.”
I laughed.
Jess didn’t.
She wakes him up to check on him, but refuses prayer.
I loved when Charles prayed. It felt authentic and touched me right there on my living room couch. It made me stop and pray too, that the scene would touch someone watching who doesn’t know Jesus or have a relationship with Him.
My heart broke for Jess because she felt like her life had no purpose and was on the outside looking in at people who had faith.
The key line for me was when Jess said she reached out to God and got nothing.
Nothing happened.
She felt nothing.
That is honest.
I think a lot more people have been there than are willing to admit.
Charles encouraged her to keep reaching out and trust that God would respond.
Her first prayer was adorable.
Awkward.
Honest.
Unsure.
But just adorable!!!
I really liked Reya.
Every movie has that one character who isn’t the star but somehow steals a little bit of your attention.
For me, that was Reya.
You’ll love her.
This movie was realistic and gritty without being too gritty. The addiction wasn’t dropped in as a “we need a conflict, here ya go” kind of thing.
The struggle was real.
Petty Dee Sidebar:
They went to a concert and I was all hyped because of the description. It wasn’t much of a concert. One tune with great lyrics, a short testimony, and a rush into Amazing Grace like it was the last take of the day and everybody just wanted it done. But what happened after that redeemed the moment.
This was a totally believable story. It wasn’t all tea, crumpets, and roses after Jess decided she wanted to get to know Jesus.
Sometimes Christian movies rush the transformation and make it seem like once someone says yes to Jesus, everything gets easy.
This one didn’t.
Most importantly, this movie reminded me that no one is beyond saving.
That’s worth a lot in my book because it’s what Jesus came to do.
