About Me
I was born in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad, West Indies to Christian parents, grew up in Beltsville, MD and moved to Brooklyn, NY after graduating from High School. For twenty-one years my career choices ran the gamut of hair dresser, inside sales clerk, legal secretary, policy supervisor, sole proprietor of an online African American book store, street vendor, leasing consultant/building manager of a 150 unit complex, and now Internet Pastor/Office Manager at my church. I am an avid reader who has reviewed and promoted numerous books off and since 2007 via my network of blogs.
My Motto: I am who I am by the grace of God.
My Testimony
A strong black woman, I have realized forgiveness is essential to achieve the peace I have sought all my life. I have come to terms with the angst of my birth and realized even my name has purpose in God’s eyes. I’m real enough to admit that some of my limitations in life were self-induced. I’m not ashamed to admit I’m not perfect, and at times may need to be lovingly reminded that “It’s not about you!” But I pray I will always surround myself with people who will hold me accountable to the need to have and show compassion.
