For my birthday this year, I’m asking for donations to Alzheimer’s Association. I’ve chosen this nonprofit because their mission means a lot to me.
You see, I have just recently begun the process of coming to terms with the fact that my mom who has Alzheimer’s and no longer recognizes me is still here. So I grieved the person that she was and am slowly letting go as I begin to get to know the person who she now is. Gorgeous, a bit irreverent, (this is new and Hi-larious), still generous in spirit, musically inclined and most of all HAPPY all the time!
So I hope you’ll consider contributing as a way to celebrate with me. Every little bit will help me reach my goal of $200.00

What a blessing that your mum is still such a delight, and that you are moving toward acceptance of the loss of her recognition. So sorry you are having to walk this hard path.
Thanks for stopping by Michele. Yes, I’m turning the corner and it is getting better. Day by day, one step at a time.
